Description
The Ouroborus is a circular symbol of a snake, (or less commonly a dragon), swallowing its tail. It represents continuity and unity, and represents the natural eternal cycle of destruction and re-creation. It represents the cycle of life, death and rebirth, and represents infinity.
The Ouroborus is an ancient symbol that is beleived to originate in ancient Egypt (Oldest finding of the symbol), however, the symbol appears throughout the world in Greek, Roman, Hindu, Siberian, Norse, African, and South American mythologies.
This entire ring is designed to be the Ouroborus, with the inside surface of the ring being flat.
