This is an extension into 3D of the flat Maurer Rose (see Wilipedia), consisting of straight lines connecting 361 points on a 2D rose curve (r = Sin[n theta] in poloar coordinates). In this case, n=4, and each line connects with another point 120 points along the curve, until the line returns to the starting point. (The flat Maurer rose is denoted MaurerRose[4,120]). The height z in this modeldis given by z= 0.4 Sin[4 theta], which puts 4 of the petals on top, and 4 on the bottom. The lines in this case are 0.8mm clyinders, with spheres at their ends. The model is actually a set of connected lines (in this case 3x360=1080 lines), returning to the same starting point.
