It needs the "after" tongue and it needs seperate distractors.

This is the "O" model of the "after" mandible that attaches to the "after" tongue, & works for AFTER IMDO has been carried out.

Only buy this product in the following streams...

1. A+C+E+F+H+J+M+N+O (if you wish to have a full model disassembly, but you expect to obtain original distractors & screws for your own placement onto mandibles)... I most recommend this, but ONLY if you expect to obtain your own functioning, working distractors... Most surgeons would buy this, as you would add your own distractors obtained from your own operations.

WARNING: This is very brittle, as the mandible is essentially in 5 pieces, and has the R + L nerves running through the mandible. The nerves will break if the pieces are badly mishandled. You must buy the "after" tongue, attach the mandible around it, and place your own distractors to the mandible. I recommend that you use epoxy resin to then "tack" the five pieces together, so they do not wobble around... and which still allows the small groove of the tongue to engage into the osteotomy lines on the inside of the mandible. You will see what I mean when you get it delivered. Once you have followed these instructions, the model is very sturdy for routine office use sa a demonstrative model.
