A novelty item, this is where today’s railways first started! Based on wooden mine plank-ways from the 16th Century, this one-piece mini diorama features plank rails (the predecessor to plateways), a ‘guided truck’ (with pin holding it between the planks) and Elizabethan miner pushing it along (with costume based on period engravings).
