Product Description
Hypothetical reconstruction of the battle cruiser Tiger with the following modifications: complete removal of 6'' casemate battery, freeboard extended flush up to deck level; lengthened stern of 15 ft (4.6 mt); installation of eight twin 4.5'' BD mounts; enhanced AA battery of eight octuple 40 mm 2 pdr 'pom-pom' mounts and ten single 20 mm Oerlikon mounts.
The catapult previously fitted has been removed, and on its mounting boats and three additional 40 mm 'pom-poms' and four single 20 mm Oerlikons have been placed. Another octuple 'pom-pom' mount has been placed on top of Y turret to better cover the stern arcs while not excessively impacting stability from the increased topweight.
