Product Description
I upgraded to Xfinity gigabit internet for less money than I had been paying for a much slower connection, but had to take Xfinity's security system as part of the package. That was fine, but they don't provide a wall mount for the touch panel that comes with the new system (an Intertek 5001879 model TCA203)!? I didn't want it sitting on the counter. Getting knocked on the floor, etc. And I was left with the old wired alarm panel that was now no longer being used. So, I created a mounting bracket that fits were the old panel was mounted. It works well. The panel mounts snuggly and the bracket includes a winding area to wind up the excess from the long power wire that's supplied with the new panel so it's at least partially out of sight.

The wall mount holes are spaced to fit the holes my prior security system panel used (83 mm between centers, just over 3.25 inches). You'll need to modify the model if you're mounting to a box with spacing between the holes that varies by more than a couple mm from that. (Shapeways will print the bracket. The screws to mount with and the holes in your wall to mount into are up to you.)

Prices are Shapeways cost plus 1¢ markup, just so I know if any are printed. (This was really just an opportunity to force myself to learn a bit about 3D printing, Shapeways and using Fusion 360.)

I printed using white versatile plastic (the cheapest option). Unless you really look, you don't see much of the bracket when the panel's mounted and the white looks very similar to my switch plates. Black could also work. It would blend with the black of the panel and the power wire.

Leave a note to let me know if you find the bracket or model useful. Thanks!

Now to find that can of leftover wall paint...
