Product Description

Finally after many many months and even years. The HO Scale GF6C
The GF6C model is made out of 3 parts.

GF6C HO Scale Front

Main front shell with many molded in details. Holes for the headlight, ditchlights and numberboards are already modeled into the shell.

GF6C HO Scale Rear

Main rear shell with modeled in rear radiator fan. Holes for the rearlight and windows are modeled into the shell.

GF6C HO Scale Details

Detailsset includes 2x front steps, 2x rear steps, 2x steps for cab, 2x numberboard frames, a bell and the front anticlimber.

This shell is made to fit on a Kato SD40-2 frame ( like the real prototype ).The Kato frame needs some small modifications ( cutting the raised sidewalks at the long hood and also removing the front and rear steps ). The GF6C HO Scale Details set comes with prototypical steps to cover up the SD40-2's steps ones they got removed.

The numberboards are designed in a way so that you can add a translucid numberboard inbetween the shell and the numberboard frame so that you can illuminate them from the inside of the shell.

The shell has A LOT of room for a DCC decoder and speaker(s) !

Modifications to the chassie and trucks are NOT necessary !

Note for future updates.
Im still working on a cover for the underframe to hide the Kato metall weight between the trucks.
Its also planed to add a cab interior.
