Product Description
The original pieces were machined by Elstree Precision Co. Ltd, except the rangefinder stalk, which was custom made by Brian Archer. The right ear had a micro switch installed and when the rangefinder stalk was in the down position, it activated 2 red blinking LEDs on top of the rangefinder casing and 3 GoW (Grain of Wheat) type light bulbs inserted into the clear Perspex block. The casing was scratch built by Brian Archer and was present on all helmets, while the viewfinder was part of a Polaroid SX-70 camera and was present on all helmets, but at some point they fell off on the ROTJ and the Sandy helmet.
