HO Scale Rock Island Transfer Caboose, Part 1/2

This is an HO Scale model of a Rock Island transfer caboose based on RI 19135 preseved and restored at the Illinois Railway Museum. These cars were built from retired composite steel and wood boxcars and served across the Rock's system all the way up to their 1980 shutdown.
The model is divided into two separate listings: the main body and the separately applied details (e.g. the steps, hand brake stand, and the smoke jack). This listing is for the main body.

To complete the model, you will need the following:
- Part 2 listing for the Transfer Caboose Details
- Kadee #1580 Bettendorf AAR Self Centering Caboose Trucks (1 pair)
- 2-56 screws to mount the trucks to the body
- Hand Brake Wheel (I recommend Kadee #2040 Ajax)
- 0.015" diameter brass wire for grab irons
- 0.040" diameter brass wire for the deck and end handrails
- Couplers of your choosing (I recommend Kadee #158)
- Paint and Decals (Microscale and K4 Decals have RI caboose sets)
- Additional details to your specifications
