Festiniog Railway Quarry Workmen's Carriage 'Type 2a'
This model depicts the early Quarry Workmen's Carriages used on the Festiniog Railway. Referred to as 'Type 2a', these were built with a roof from the outset. By 1876 there were 44 in use that were likely to be a mixture of 'Type 1b' and 'Type 2a' vehicles.
A replica of this type was completed in 2013 numbered 33.
Designed to use Ø6.2 or Ø5.5 9mm gauge wheels with a Ø1.5mm axle as a clip fit. The print may need the bearing surface or slot opening out slightly with a file.
Requires roof made from card or plastic sheet to complete.
