Simplex Wingnut V4.1.18

This is a plastic replacement for the Simplex Delrin wing nut used on their earlier quick release skewers.  This skewer style was discontinued in the early 1970's and had a tendency to crack and fall apart over the years.  This replacement is not an exact copy but is a "reasonable facsimile".  You will need the original brass nut in order to use this item.  The material is a slightly rough, matte finish but you can paint it to provide a smooth finish that is closer to the original.  A photo of a painted wing nut is shown above.
