My good friend, Helaman Ferguson, the famous mathematical sculptor, once showed me how to make this kind of twisted Borromean rings from three paper napkins. I have made one as a large bronze casting, and now I have captured the design in a mathematical model that can be 3D printed. It is most stable set on its three feet, but you may like to try other positions. In order to make it more stable, and to stand up to its full height, I tied a bit of fishing line to the ``feet" making a tight triangle.
