Product Description
4 pairs of Fox pressed steel truck frames. Modeled after a common version used by NYC, Reading etc. from the late 1890s. From drawings in the 1895 Carbuilders Dictionary. Inside brakes, lift-lid journals, 60" wheelbase.
This version mounts with a screw similar to MDC/Roundhouse. Mounting hole measures 0.10"/2.5mm diameter with .020"/.5mm diameter recess for panhead screw.
Requires 33" wheelsets with axles .975" to 1" long, shorter ones may also fit.
Wicking in some thin CA glue will strengthen parts.
Because of their fine detail, Smooth or Smoothest Fine Detail is the preferred material, others will show varying degrees of surface roughness or muted detail.
Clean with alcohol before painting, or with Bestine rubber cement remover if parts are particularly greasy. Acrylics recommended. Part Number HOT97s.
