TEV Rangatira after she was refitted as a barracks ship for the British force that headed to the Falkland islands in 1982 to repel Argentinian forces that had taken the island territories there. She was retrofitted with a helicopter deck, 4 Oerlikon 20mm cannons on her upper decks and fitted out in the interior for 1200 people and six month capacity for them.
