Two overlapping squares form a powerful shape commonly referred to as the Seal of The Order Of Melchizedek. The Seal of Melchizedek is generally recognized as a symbol of Jesus Christ (as a personage) and also Christ Consciousness.
This same 8 pointed star is also present in some Islamic sacred geometry tilework. There are competing theories about the origins of this symbol, where it came from and how long this symbol has been known and recognized by humanity. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (aka LDS or Mormons) helped popularize this symbol in America by incorporating it into multiple aspects of the architectural wonder that is their San Diego Temple.
For a more indepth discussion of the historical background of this symbol, please read this blog post - The Seal of Melchizedek: History, Meanings, and Mysteries.
The Seal of Melchizedek is prominently featured in another shape that I make called the 8:8 Stargate. The 8:8 Stargate actually contains 2 Seals of Melchizedek within it. I hope you love this shape. Namaste my friends!
