Sukhoi Shkval Tailsitter VTOL Fighter

Model of the unbuilt Soviet Sukhoi "Shkval" tailsitter vertical-takeoff and landing fighter aircraft, circa 1963. Little is known about this design, however it was designed with a turbojet engine and reportedly would have had a very good rate of climb and excellent low-speed handling characteristics.
