Product Description
The Beechcraft T-34 Mentor is a propeller-driven, single-engine, military trainer aircraft derived from the Beechcraft Model 35 Bonanza. The T-34A Mentor was put into service by the U.S. Air Force in 1953, while the USN followed in May 1955 with the T-34B. The T-34C is still used as a primary training aircraft for United States Navy and Marine Corps and Coast Guard student pilots.
This 1:144 scale model version of the T-34 was one of the first models I designed. Modified slightly from the 1:350 scale of the original version, the model consists of 18 parts, on 6 “items.” Flaps, ailerons and the rudder are all provided as separate parts, and can be assembled in the configuration of the modeler’s choice. Both stationary and spinning propellers are provided. A hole has been incorporated into the underside of the fuselage to accommodate a 1/8” rod for those who want to display the model in-flight.
Upgrades to this model, including inclusion of open canopies and a detailed cockpit, are being considered in the future. Let me know if you are interested in these items.
