MG-MGA Coupe Door Window Regulator Pinion

This is a replacement pinion for the door window regulators found in MGA Coupes.  It fits both doors.  The coupes were produced from Sep 1956 until the end of production in May of 1962.  The mating segment gear is available from Gio on the mgexp.com forum.  Instructions for removing the regulator can be found on Barney's mgaguru.com site.  The center hole of this pinion will need to be enlarged to fit your mating pin. Drill size will likely be in the range of #9 (0.1960"), 5mm (0.1968"), #8 (0.1990") and 5.1mm (0.2008"), but you should measure your pin if possible.  CAUTION: drilling the hole must be done with a sharp drill in a drill press and with the part rigidly held in a vise.  If you want, it can then be hardened by your local heat treater by having them bring it to an H900 condition.  You can also further polish it in a lapidary tumbler if desired.
