The standard Backbone tripod mount is a quarter inch thread, this design replaces it with a part to interface with GoPro mounts and accessories.
The initial requirement was to mount a Backbone/GoPro Hero 4 as close to a hat or helmet as possible, to reduce, as much as possible, unwanted pan and tilt of the camera from movement of the wearer's head.
The Backbone modified camera can get quite hot, but initial tests with the print found that even in PLA it would withstand the temperature. But as temperature is an issue perhaps a more resilient material should be used, hence it is offered here in Nylon.
