Product Description

This 1:50 scale winch is designed to be installed onto Norscot and Diecast Masters Cat D8T models. This winch does not feature a spinning drum. This winch is an updated design intended to match the winch used on real D8Ts. upon arrival the winch and detail piece will need to be removed from sprues holding them together. Included with this winch is a transmission detail piece to fit to the rear of the dozer prior to installing the winch. Installing this winch is reccomended for experienced model builders. To install the winch, you will need to dissasemble the dozer and remove the ripper, this will require drilling out rivets, then you will need to remove the mounts that are connected by a screw found beneath the final drive axle, then the remaining ripper mounts will need to be cut off with a handheld razor saw, and the the area filed/ground smooth. once smooth, it is reccomended to touch up the paint, then install the transmission piece with the screw found under the drive motor axle. then reassemble the dozer, and glue the winch onto the rear of the dozer.
