This is a Belt stiffener for a Late Roman belt.
The original was made of Copper Alloy (Somewhere between Bronze and Brass most likely) and was found in Dorchester-on-Thames in London, England.
The Replica is near enough 1:1 and will suit a belt strap 75mm wide or greater. It will need the Backing plate and rivets fabricating or purchasing. These are Not included.
For an accurate replica, you will need 9 Long Stiffeners and 2 short stiffeners, found here: https://www.shapeways.com/product/83Z6U43BR/dorchester-belt-short-stiffener
I Have made it available in both Brass and Bronze as well as Plastic so that you may organise your own Casting.
