GUNBOX X1 is a quick point pistol sight.

GUNBOX PISTOL MOUNT QUICK POINT  mounts on under barrel Picatinny rails. As a  duel dot, sight image is used for elevation and roll. X1 is really a shaping  blank that prints well without to much support structure and sits tight as a friction fit and bolts on snug and straight for METAL pistol shape  with the under barrel Picatinny mount.

Description: Part is all one color  may be user detailed or contact me for other shapes not offered. Prior to use clearance of all moving part must be tested manually. Full manual movement  without interferance of the hammer,  slide,  main housing, buttons or stock iron sights on reciprocating pistols . The only contact mounting point is the Picatinny rail under the barrel.

User Detailing: Optic fiber is not included. There is a .05 swept hole that may accept replacement fiber found at sporting good stores or add high contrast ink  for better dot detail. Picatinny mounting screw and nut are not included. Can be used as a slide on and there is are mounting features for the screw and nut, recess and nut lock for permanent mounting in rail groove.

Aiming: Upper dot is on target and lower dot is for elevation and roll. Practice and rembering the sight image for a specfic distance,  wrist angle  or true vertical gun angle can be repeated.

Calibaration: Sight is printed true (two dots vertical) and close range is typically 2 closely spaced dots. Target is at or above in the image field. Pracitice and visually rembering site image is the only form of adjustment. Some people may not hold a pistol exactly vertically. The position of the lower dot can show true vertical or user wrist angle that needs to be repeated, as well as elevation once a sight image  has been practiced for different positions and distances. 

Safety: Like any thing that shoots its always a concern. When multiple pistols need to be recognizable color coding  can be accomplished.  Team or individual visual designation at distance while aiming, used for target scoring or team play.

This sight does offer some abrasion protection to the gun muzzle. Custom requests for options like reticle change, dot spacing, clearance issues or cutouts for cartridge ejection or pellet loading. Weaver mount, barrel mounting and clipon features are custom projects.  Full embossing camo pattersn on surfaces and cut thrus (breaks up the single color) .
