The ZIA sun symbol comes from the ZIA pueblo people in New mexico. It represents the four gifts of existance, connected by the circle of life. Each set of reys represents a set of gifts;
North, East, South, West
Spring, Summer, Autunm, Winter
Sunrise, Noon, Evening, Night
Childhood, Youth, Adulthood, Old Age
The ZIA sybolises the gift of life, and reminds the wearer to be grateful for each moment.
The ZIA also represents unity of peoples, and is featured on the New Mexico flag uniting its hispanic, caucasian, mixed, and native peoples.
