ICI ran a fleet of 40T bogie Caustic Soda tank wagons from the late-1930s until they were replaced by air-braked TTA designs from the mid-1960s.

- Pilot holes (0.4mm) are provided for diagonal bracing rods made from handrail wire, etc.
- Because these tankers were insulated, longitudinal tie bars and most of the tank-securing straps were hidden within the insulation.
- This model was originally designed for 5' 6" wheelbase diamond-frame bogies from the N Gauge Society, but Wageni@Shapeways now offers finer 6' printed bogies, which include brake levers. The bogie pivots are 3.75mm in diameter and 3mm deep.
- Bogie retaining pins, basic buffers and ladders are printed below the chassis. These components will be quite fragile in Smoothest Fine Detail Plastic. Flexible and resilient tank ladders are available printed in Versatile Plastic from my shop, or brass buffers and ladders are available from N Brass Locos.
- Suitable transfers are available from Cambridge Custom Transfers (Use Sheet BL106) or Fox Transfers. The NGS Chemical Tank Wagon Transfer Set NGST0370 contains many of the required markings. (Available to N Gauge Society members).
