The AN/PSC-5 is a Multi-Band/Multi-Mission Communication Terminal.
It can be used as a manpack portable, battery-operated radio as well as a vehicle mounted SATCOM radio. In the second case it is often seen on early GMV models, based upon M1025 or M1113.
