Listowel Lartigue Figure Set (N Scale)

The Listowel and Ballybunion Railway was opened in County Kerry, Ireland, in 1888.  Built to the Lartigue system, it was the world’s first commercial passenger monorail, operating until 1924, and remains one of the most famous monorail systems ever constructed.  Although scrapped, a working replica was constructed in 2003, continuing the history of this remarkable railway experiment.  

This pack provides a variety of figures to complement the various items of Listowel rolling stock available.  It includes two tender engine crews sets (driver and fireman), one seated ‘Coffeepot’ engine driver (custom designed to fit), four assorted standing figures and 17 assorted seated passengers.  As a bonus the pack also includes four of the unusual pulley tops to the telegraph poles that lined the route.
