Model Kit Domed Hex Base - Med. - .16" Receptacle

This is 3.5" Diameter Domed Hex Model Kit Base

This is a higher polycount model of a base I updloaded years ago with a smaller .16" receptacle for a rod / tube to mount your model.

There is also a version of this size base with a .20" diameter receptacle that would be better if you were planning on lighting your model kit.

This is similar to hex bases for many wargaming miniatures so your model kits will feel in tune with a miniature collection.

The walls on this base are extra thick for stability and to help keep appropriately sized model kits from leaning.

If you are worried about your kit tipping over, you can add weights to the underside of the base, or look at the larger 6" Diameter base.

When preparing to paint the base, I recommend a good wash, light sand, using an adhesion promoter, and then a sandable high-fill primer before your base color.
