This is a multipack example of the German Scharnhorst-class battleship which can be used for Scharnhorst and Gneisenau that served in World War Two for the Kriegsmarine.
Simple one piece model design with some gun barrels (and smaller turrets without) for 3D printing in fine detailed plastics. Add details as required to bring this ship alive. When you add details for Gneisenau, this ship was slightly shorter at 5.1m or around 1.7mm at this scale. Shaving a bit off stern and bow if you want to make this difference is something you can do.
Based on a model design by A.Rawlings and modified in gun barrels by Martin Rait for Shapeways. It can be used at an appropriate hex scale with the
SeaLion Supremacy game, or any other naval tabletop game that uses this scale.
If you have family that served on this vessel class, why not order a miniature to keep as a small family keepsake or gift for someone else whose family served onboard. Or maybe you had family who worked at the yards that built this vessel. Keep your family military history alive.
