ATH Blomberg ATL FB2 Adapter (8 parts)

Eight adapters useful for attaching Atlas FB-2 sideframes to the Athearn blue box 2-axle truck (the "Blomberg" truck, not the HTB or AAR B truck). Included are four pair adapters which is enough to equip two four-axle locomotives. 

Modification of the Atlas sideframes is required. The alignment/attachment pins on the back of the Atlas sideframe must be trimmed flush with the mating face of the sideframe with the exception of the center pin, which can be left about 0.05" long to fit in the cylindrical void on the adapter. Attach the adapter to the Atlas sideframe with epoxy or CA compatible with engineering plastics.

Both the early Atlas/Kato U23B FB-2 sideframes and the later Atlas B40-8/B23-7 FB-2 sideframes are compatible with this adapter.

The adapter should be a press-fit into the Athearn truck, however glue is recommended to secure the adapter to the truck.
