1/87th Guard Rail Post Driver Body

This piece recreates the truck that is used by the DOT, road crews, contractors and Maintenance of Way outfits to drive the posts that are used for guardrails. Typically the posts are 6 feet long. The carriage moves in and out, the piston tower raises up and down and the entire bed rotates.  This piece would work either with a single axle or dual axle truck and begs for more detaling, like hydraulic lines, some tools scattered here and there etc. I also offer a set of stacked metal guardrails, and posts that can be added ahead of the bed behind the truck cab, which would mean a longer frame.  These loads can also just be set on the job site, or perhaps as a load for a separate companion truck.  Please, for any pins, strongly consider replacing with stronger material such as styrene or metal rod.  Should there be a question or concern, contact me via the designer link or direct via email to modelmechanic@gmail.com
