Product Description
This USB B jackplate is designed to support Cherrystone Designs' Algum CD-0046 21st century electric guitar control module where the other end is directly connected to a Digital Audio Workstation or a laptop of sufficient capacity to support software guitar effects models  or other similar audio processing gear. Amplification is whatever is supported by that system.

This replaces the 1/4" mono signal jackplate on Fender's Stratocaster electric guitar with a form equivalent jackplate compatible with Adafruit's ADA937 Panel Mount USB Cable - B Female to Micro-B Male.

Although the  ADA937 panel mount ears fit the jackplate cutout and drill holes, the cable is itself inflexible  and can be too fat to fit through the repurposed audio tunnel between the jackplate and control route cavities, so some surgery is needed.

I've had good success cutting away much of the outer plastic housing of the panel mount cable end, exposing the inner potted connector, without damaging the needed mechanical structure of the panel mount ears.

I recommend cannibalizing a USB charging and syncing cable with an  outside diameter arount 0.1". Cut off both ends, splice the panel mount USB B connector on one end, pass the cable through the jackplate tunnel to the control cavity, cut it to length, then splice on a USB micro-B male connector, being careful to heat shrink insultating tubing over each solder joint as insulation, wrap it all with foil in contact with the ground drain wire, then heat shrink that as well.

RTV silicone provides a decent semi-solid reinforcement of the edited connector joints after it cures.
I recomment it for each cable end.

There are many sources for hand-soldering a USB micro-B male connector to USB cable.
I've used uxcell's A14062300UX0731 with good results. Other simlar products I've noticed are
XINGYHENG EAN 0700713394013 and Conwork 10616. There are likely many more. Or you could splice a connector cut off of a commercially available cable.

Make sure to match the cable colors, insulate all solder joints, and shield all exposed conductors.
Protect the foil shield with more heat shrink tubing.
