HOn3 Freelance Caboose (ex Boxcar)

This is a HOn3 version of the Nevada County NGRR caboose no.1 (HOn3), with a wider cupola.
This was converted from a boxcar and retains the sliding door on one side.
The completed model is shown sitting on a pair of my HOn3 caboose trucks and fitted with Kadee 714 couplers. The roofs are made from thin plastic card (styrene sheet). The end handrails are brass rod bent using my HOn30 handrail jig.
Overall length is a scale 26 feet. Width is 7.5 feet.

These Instructions should help with finishing the model.

The cupola is now inside the body, held in place by loops which will have to be cut off to free it.

The finished model in the photos includes extra parts - handrails made from brass rod (painted white), kadee 713 couplers, Blackstone trucks, plastic shet for the roof, coach roof details (vents) from my shop. The photos are meant to illustrate what can be done with this model.
