Product Description
This is an N Gauge model of the iconic 1829 locomotive ‘Rocket’, depicted as it was during the Rainhill trials.  Combined with the N Gauge Stephenson’s Rocket Tender (separately available), this scratch aid enables an unpowered free-rolling model engine.  Coupled to the motorised Liverpool and Manchester Railway coach or motorised flatbed (each separately available, plus free-rolling coaches and trucks), a fully working 'Era 1' N Gauge train can be created.

Also available are ‘Rocket’ as rebuilt after the Trials and ‘Rocket’ as currently preserved.

Necessary to Complete:
Graham Farish Jinty driving wheels (available as spares); 10.5mm diameter including flange, 1.5mm axle
Graham Farish wagon wheels (x1)
Couplings (the method used is at the builder's discretion)
Weight (the boiler is hollow)
Slide bars & coupling rods (these can be formed from wire fitting into pre-drilled holes in the cylinder and its support plate – please see video below)
(NB small strips of styrene will hold the driving wheels in place)

Optional additional details to scratchbuild (at the builder's discretion):
Safety valve (location pre-drilled)
Regulator
Funnel supports
Boiler front-frame supports
Crew

I hope you enjoy this unusual and eye-catching model.
