Product Description
A pair of trefoil bands loop round a central torus spine, supported by a complex web of ported fans , and mirroring each other as they interact. The texture was inspired by the microscopic structure of xylem cells in trees, which transport water from the roots to the leaves.
Another very popular model. Printed in metal, this pocket sculpture* is an amazingly satisfying object to hold and feel - people just don't want to let go of it. As you turn it round and over you start to see the subtle differences between the loops, with their differentially-spaced teeth, and the visible print lines really enhance the texture. It is 3.8cm in diameter, weighs just under 2oz, and prints beautifully in metal (polished gold steel and bronze steel in the photos).
*Pocket Sculptures: Art to carry around with you! I think it's wrong to view art as something you just put on a shelf and admire. We all love to have in our pockets nice beautiful objects we've found - pebbles, driftwood, pretty stones and so on - and to show them to our friends. I am trying to design affordable but beautiful artworks that you can keep with you in your pocket, with satisfying shapes and textures that make you smile.
