Product Description
Project 629 "Golf" Class submarines were the first ballistic missile submarines in the Soviet navy. They were diesel powered and carried 3 short range nuclear missiles. In 1968 K-129 was lost at sea with all hands following a missile explosion NW of Hawaii. She was subsequently located by USS Halibut and partially raised by Glomar Explorer under Project Azorian (or Jennifer).
