Watanabe E9W1 (Slim). This small reconnaissance seaplane was transported in a water-tight hangar aboard submarines. It could be assembled in 150 seconds and disassembled in 90 seconds. Once the war began it was largely confined to searching for vessels trying to run the Japanese blockage in the China Sea. About three dozen were built.
