Here is your chance to own higher quality prototypical railroad couplers that have compatible dimensions with the G-Scale Medium Offset couplers that are sold by hobby dealers. The part is a model of a prototype Janney railroad coupler. The solid body and knuckle are able to pivot from the mounting point but note that the knuckle does not open or flex. Because of the dimensional variation of the printing process, the mounting hole hole may be slightly undersize from the design diameter value of 0.190". We drilled through the hole of the first stainless steel part without difficulty using a
Ø 0.189 drill to insure that it was a compatible replacement for our plastic mass-produced coupler. The center of the coupler knuckle is 0.081" above the rear top surface of the mounting hole. The coupler should be mounted so that the knuckle center is 1-1/8" above rail height. The part is suitable for use with the Climax Class A locomotive model described in Ed Hume's book Go to
