Product Description
Coach Body Type C
Part of 009 Atkinson Walker Railcar - further parts required, see above for details
This coach type is based on the Atkinson Walker articulated railcars developed for the Clogher Valley railway and later used by the County Donegal Railway in Ireland. It was the first of this type to be in use on the railway in the 1930s.
I have adapted this model to suit 009 gauge. The coach is printed with the roof ladder and luggage rack as used on the County Donegal Railway – these are separate from the roof to allow the Clogher Valley variant to be modelled. The rear bogie is also printed with the coach and is intended to be separated during the building process. The coach interior is also printed as an integral part of the coach. Designed to be printed in White Processed Versatile Plastic, it is also available in Smooth Fine Detail Plastic. There are possibilities for personal adaptation of the model both inside and outside.
This is the coach body; to complete the model as shown you will also need to purchase the cab, which is available separately. If you would like to see how I went about building similar railcars, please visit the Model Engine Works Blog, at
