Detroit No. 22 Lubricator

The Detroit triple-feed lubricator for steam locomotives.  These were mounted in the cab near the top of the boiler backhead.  The top inlet is for steam from the boiler.  The two outer feeds are intended to feed left and right side  locomotive cylinders and the center feed the air pump.   Feed lines are routed under the boiler lagging to the cylinders and can usually be seen emerging at the front just above the steam chests.  They connect with the steam inlet pipes just above the steam chests.  PM me for further information about this item; data is also readily available on the Internet.
