AFP_Container_3mm_03

This is a 3mm:1ft scale model of a pair of the British Railways AFP containers. A little longer than the A-type, but still much shorter than the B-types. Often loaded in pairs on a conflat-B wagon (a bit longer than a conflat-A), they were used primarily for fish traffic.
This model is a plain x1.5 rescale in all dimensions of my 2mm model of the same thing. In theory it should fit together just the same, right?
It might be possible to make it a bit less expensive by thinning the walls, floor and roof, but that will be fiddly to take all the way as the guide rails would need to be relocated and resized for the new thicknesses.
The design is in parts sprued together and arranged like an injection-moulded kit. The point of doing that is to get an upward facing print orientation on what will be all the outer surfaces of the assembled container, as this gives the absolutely best finish in smoothest and smooth fine detail plastic. It won't help for grey fine detail plastic, which is printed deliberately with wax on every surface at printing time, to get a consistent finish rather than the shiniest areas you get from the smooth and smoothest. It might still be worth printing in that, as it is a bit less expensive.  There is no mark-up in the price for me, so I can't make it cheaper without a redesign.  Oh if you only want one of them, let me know, that's no trouble for me to do.
