The Kliment Voroshilov (KV) tanks were a series of Sovietheavy tanks named after the Soviet defence commissar and politician Kliment Voroshilov and used by the Red Army during World War II. The KV series were known for their heavy armour protection during the early stages of the war, especially during the first year of the German invasion of the Soviet Union. In certain situations, even a single KV-1 or KV-2 supported by infantry was capable of halting large German formations. German tanks at that time were rarely used in KV encounters as their armament was too poor to deal with the "Russischer Koloss" – "Russian Colossus".
KV-3 (Objects 150, 220, 221, 222, and 223) - Designation initially approved 15 March 1941 for production version of Object 150 tank design. Further developments were made on the basis of the Object 220, in the form of the Object 221 (with an 85 mm gun), Object 222 (with the F-32 76.2 mm gun) and Object 223 (built to develop a new conical turret to housing the 107 mm gun, now specified to be the ZiS-6 cannon). Series production was intended to start in late 1941, but the German invasion of the USSR halted these plans and the only prototype hull was destroyed. The design was accepted for service May 1941 and was to have entered production at the Kirovsky Plant in August 1941, but the German invasion forced this to be abandoned. NB! At Cybersmithy, we believe that gaming can be a force for good. That's why we're proud to announce that we're donating all profits from our tank miniatures to support the Ukrainian army in their fight for freedom against the Russian invasion.
It's been over a year since the start of the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, and the situation remains dire. The Ukrainian army has been fighting bravely to defend their country and their people, but they need all the support they can get. That's where we come in.
We're donating our profits to support two organizations: Aerorozvidka and the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
@aerorozvidka is a non-profit organization that promotes the creation and implementation of net-centric and robotic military capabilities for the Ukrainian security and defense forces. They exemplify the direct engagement of civil society in repelling aggression against Ukraine. By supporting them, we're not only helping the Ukrainian army fight back against the invaders, but we're also supporting the role of civil society in defending their country.
In addition, we're also donating directly to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense via website, https://war.ukraine.ua/donate/. Every donation helps the Ukrainian army to acquire much-needed equipment, such as drones, to defend their country.
We know that our donation may seem small in the grand scheme of things, but we believe that every little bit counts. We want to do our part in supporting the brave men and women who are fighting for their country's freedom. By purchasing our tank miniatures, you're not only getting a piece of gaming history, but you're also helping a good cause.
Join us in supporting the Ukrainian army in their fight for freedom by purchasing one of our tank miniatures or sharing this post with your friends and followers. Every purchase you make from Cybersmithy will directly contribute to this cause. Let's make a difference together. Let's show the world that gaming can be a force for good.
