Universal ORTF Stereo Mic Holder. Requires two elastic 'Hair Ties' (not included). A great item for any audio engineer's toolbox!
Compatible with any "pencil" style microphone. Creates a fast, easy repeatable stereo micing setup.
ORTF is a "Near Coincident" stereo micing technique that provides a good balance between stereo localization and spaciousness. Place microphones in the clip with the diaphrams about 17cm apart (about 6 3/4”).
The ORTF-U clip may be attached directly to a standard american 5/8” thread mic stand, but we suggest using the clip in conjunction with a swivel adaptor such as the WindTech MA-1, OnStage MM01, or Triad M1-R.
