Garmin Varia Specialized Tarmac Post Mount - 0mm

Features:

• Garmin Varia seat post mount for the Specialized Tarmac SL7.​
• Attaches to the Tarmac SL7 seat post, in place of the Shimano Di2 junction box.
• Compatible with 0mm offset seat posts and bikes that dont have a Di2 junction box installed in the post, ie mechanical or SRAM eTap bikes.

Overview
This mount replaces the Di2 cover on the rear of the Tarmac SL7 seat post, allowing you to mount a Garmin Varia rear radar light. The design features a pivot, as found on most action cameras, allowing you to adjust the orientation of your Garmin Varia light so it is perfectly level.

This is the 0mm version of our seat post mount and is suitable for 0mm offset Tarmac SL7 seat posts. You can find the version for the more typical 20mm offset seat posts HERE.

Because the mount replaces the Di2 cover on the rear of the Specialized Tarmac SL7 seat post it is not compatible with bikes which have a Di2 junction box already in place.

​Application
This MagCAD mount will be 3D printed and supplied by Shapeways in two pieces, tethered together to aid manufacture.

1. Simply cut and discard the tether with a pair of pliers or scissors.
2. Assemble the two pieces of the mount with an M5x20mm screw and M5 nut (not supplied).
3. Attach to your Specialized Tarmac SL7 seat post with 2x M3x16mm countersunk screws (not supplied). We suggest using a thread locking compound to prevent the mount coming loose.
4. Attach your Garmin Varia rear light with a quarter turn and pivot to your preferred orientation before fully tightening the M5 screw.

The below hardware is not supplied but very simple to source locally:

• 1x M5x20mm button head screw.
• 1x M5 dome nut.
• 2x M3x16mm countersunk screw.

All fasteners should be checked periodically to ensure they are still tight.
