00 Scale Liverpool & Manchester Railway 2nd Coach

This is a 00 Scale model of a 2nd Class coach inspired by the Liverpool & Manchester Railway of 1830.  Based on replicas now in British railway museums, it can also represent many other early 'Era 1' railway companies simply by changing the livery. 

This model is designed to accompany both other Newman Miniatures 00 items and the 2020 Hornby ‘Rocket’ set.  Couplings are consequently left to the builder, although a hole for the Hornby 3-link coupling bracket is provided.  Buffers are also provided on a sprue beneath the floor. 

IMPORTANT: while most models available here have been pre-tested and known to work, this scratch-aid has not been printed/tested by myself, so while the measurements appear correct it is considered strictly experimental.   

(Note: various materials are provided, however, WSF and BSF will require more preparation for smooth painting that FUD and FED.) 

The following additional parts need to be sourced separately to complete: 
• Buffer/spring rodding (mounting holes already provided)

• Coupling (at the builder’s discretion)
