Product Description
This is a set of parts to complete an N Gauge rendition of the unusual experimental locomotive No. 9 designed by William Dean in 1889.  The only standard-gauge GWR 4-2-4, it was rebuilt into a 2-2-2 in 1884 owing to repeated derailing.

Added to the N Gauge Dean Express Tank Loco Scratch Aid, if used with the motorised generic 4-wheel coach these produce a fully operational model which with the other generic 4 and 6-wheel coaches available can make a complete vintage train.

Necessary to Complete:
N Gauge Dean Express Tank Loco Scratch Aid (separately available)
Graham Farish Royal Scot driving wheels
X4 Disc wagon wheels
Couplings (the method used is at the builder's discretion)
Weight (the boiler and bogie underframes are hollow)
Styrene strip – to retain wheels and if needed for a bogie guide (see video below)
Pins x3 (for bogie mounts)
Brass strip (plastic can also be used), drilled twice 10mm apart for the front bogie drawbar
Wire (for cab roof stanchions – holes provided)
