For when you purchase uncut grips from Wannwanga this guide will help you cut them down to a uniform size. This guide is for The Force Awakens. Roy of Wannawanga did some detective work and figured out that the grips on the prop that was in Maz Kanata's box were 84mm long. This guide will allow you to mark on your grips to cut them to precisely 84mm long and put the correctly measured notch in the right place. It is recommended to use a dremel or other hand held tool along with masking tape or painters tape to hold the grips in the template.

PLEASE NOTE: This was designed specifically for 13.3mm wide hard plastic grips from Wannawanga. While it may find success with other grips this has not been tested to work at this point. It is designed to create a 6.5mm notch, 13mm from the bottom of the hilt. There is also a version available for the prop used by Rey and FInn in the later parts of the movie.
