Product Description
This is not a complete kit, but gives the major body parts necessary to build a model of the VR X class 2-8-2 steam locomotive, using a Kato D51 chassis. Some modification is necessary to the Kato chassis. This is not a kit for the faint-hearted. Also requires etched brass parts (pilot, smoke deflectors, ladders) available with decals from MNSSARM.
You will also need to print the tender drawbar, preferably in nylon. Optionally, you can print the tender underframe in brass, to increase weight.
