Product Description
The Great Western Railway designed Loriot G27 and G41 well wagons had provision to secure loads with removable girders running the length of the well, along either side. These girders had holes in them, so straight bits of square section styrene rodding will not really do. If drilling lots of holes exactly the same distance apart and in a perfect straight line along the middle of a tiny strip of styrene isn't achievable, try these. To get them out of their protective / bounding box-satisfying "packing crates", break off one of the thin "battens" close to one end of the box and carefully drag the girders out. They will survive a slight and gentle bend, but if you're not confident, break more of the battens on the "crates" first. The crates themselves can be kept, painted up and used as interesting loads for other wagons on your layout! There are two girders in each crate, so one of these packs will give you enough girders for two G27 or G41 well wagons.
