Product Description
This unusual experimental engine was built in 1926 to the Lungstrom steam turbine principal.  Unlike most engines the boiler/cab unit was unpowered, the tender-esque part containing the turbine and condensers with six powered wheels, consequently having a 4-2-2-2+0-6-4 wheel arrangement.  Tested on the LMS it was used on commercial express services between London, Manchester and Glasgow, but poor combustion and other issues led to it being dismantled in 1928.

Combined with the Condenser Unit (separately available), this scratch aid produces a fully-working motorised N Gauge model.  Also required to complete the model are:

Part #2: Condenser Unit (3D print, available separately)
Tomytec HM-01 Hakotesu Powered Motorized Chassis N scale
Graham Farish 08 crank Wheels (available as spares online)
Graham Farish Jinty coupling rods (available as spares online; these will need slightly enlargement of the mounting holes)
Graham Farish Royal Scot bogie (x2)
Graham Farish wagon wheels (x1 with pins sawn off)
Loco-tender coupling
Weight

Optional additional details to scratchbuild (at the builder's discretion):
Speedometer cable (LH side axlebox to mounting hole)
Coal & crew

The video below provides advice for construction; as with the prototype, fine-tuning may be necessary!
