Hello, i'm creating an architectural model where i need 'complicated' glass facades to be printed in 3d.. they have to be transparent so my choice was the frosted detail plastic. i used sketchup to create the model, then export obj and upload. the main problem is the cost, it's like more than 100$ and i have to do multiple pieces so i'm asking if i'm doing something wrong creating the model (and so raising $) or if it's just as it seems. I have very low value on the material volume but very high for the machine volume and support volume.. these are maybe a newbie questions but i'm just getting started to 3d print, so i'm sorry Model : https://www.shapeways.com/model/upload-and-buy/6274248
All that cost for support may be orientation? Check out this FUD pricing post https://www.shapeways.com/forum/t/road-to-major-fud-improvements-starts-with-repricing.80212/
